Key Problem

For millennials to reach a “comfortable” financial stage in life, the U.S. financial system practically requires an extensive financial literacy understanding to confidently make and execute decisions. Financial advisors can charge high fees that make a big dent in the wallet annually. In today’s day, such an expense is no longer needed as technology has enabled universal access to financial assistance.

Key Business Implications

Wealthmode is designed to offer an alternative for millennials to take their future financial plans into their own hands. By showing a personal financial projection of one’s finances and actions, individuals can save more, retire earlier, or even invest more.

Objective

Design Wealthmode’s on-boarding flow to achieve the following:

  1. Decrease the total time users invest in on-boarding

  2. Inform users about Wealthmode

Solutions

Change of Business Priorities

Each on-boarding question’s input was linked to a different feature, but Wealthmode plans on incrementally releasing features. We needed a new design to reflect these changes.

Final Design

Accomplishes Both Objectives:

Gets users to homepage the fastest

Informs Users of what Wealthmode is

Takeaways

  • Business priorities can change

  • Working in an iterative design process

  • Working with a team

  • Designs can still be used as the app further develops
